This Cafe Makes it Easy

Bringing the Crew Together? This Café Makes It Easy

If you’re the one who usually picks the spot—whether it’s for family brunch, a catch-up with friends, or just somewhere reliable after the school run—you know the vibe matters just as much as the food. It has to be easy. It has to be good. And ideally, it should feel like you nailed it.

That’s what we do best at Dad & The Frog. Our café in Surry Hills is built for those in charge of choosing where everyone eats, chats, and chills—and autumn is hands down one of the best times to visit.

Our new seasonal menu has landed, and it’s full of the kind of food people actually want to eat. Like our French toast topped with caramelised apple and maple mascarpone—it’s a serious crowd-pleaser. Our Big Halloumi plate has had a cosy autumn upgrade too, with roasted tomatoes and house-made beetroot relish. And yes, our smashed avo is still going strong (especially with a little smoked ocean trout on the side).

Everything’s made fresh, using local produce, and our sauces and relishes are made in-house—because the small things make a big difference. Coffee comes from Toby’s Estate, and it’s poured by baristas who know how to make it right, even on your third visit this week. And if you’re more of a chai, cold brew, or juice type—we’ve got that covered too.

What makes brunch at Dad & The Frog easy is the whole experience. The service is quick, the vibe is relaxed, and there’s plenty of outdoor seating if you’re bringing the dog or rolling deep with a pram. No stress, no eye rolls from the staff, no wondering if the food’s going to be hit or miss. It just works.

So whether you're planning your next group catch-up or want a spot where everyone can meet with zero fuss, you’ll find it here. Brunch is better when everyone’s happy—and that includes you.

Check out the menu and plan your visit at www.dadandthefrog.com.au. We’ll save you a seat.
